God's Promise For Success

"You will succeed, not by military might or by your own strength, but by my Spirit. Obstacles as big as mountains will disappear before you."
(Zechariah 4:6,7)

This marvellous promise was given to us before we went to High Wycombe at the end of April. It certainly was fulfilled in all the preparations for the mission. We spent time with the Paradise Youth Club in Downley, took part in the Carnival, and supported their "Take the Flame for Fair Trade" event in the town centre. We had a wonderful time with the young people, their leaders and the church. We were all encouraged in our faith and blessed by God.

In June we visited the Gypsy site in Epsom and received a warm welcome there. Future events include visits to churches in Godalming, Surrey (06.07.94) and Nuffield, near Henly-on-Thames (23 & 24.07.94).  On 29.07.94 we will be travelling out to Romania with JOY (Jubilee Outreach Yorkshire) for a fortnight in Tigru Mures where many Gypsies live in poverty. We will be taking the marquee and generator with us and other supplies. We hope to make good contacts and find ways to help.

Our prison work continues and we visit regularly at Maidstone, Weyland and Cane Hill. We will be at Swanwick for the Prison Fellowship weekend (08 - 10.07.94).

GFC now has a new treasurer - Mr. Clive Johnson of (address omitted for security reasons). Please send your donations to him. We also have five new trustees - Mr Bernard Mends, Mr John Malin, Mr Clive Johnson and Beryl, his wife, and Rosemary Gibbard. Please support the team with your prayers, and us on our many journeys. Thank you for sharing with us in the work of the gospel.

With Christian love and greetings from Sonnie and Rosemary.
